New Bern Civil War Battlefield Park, New Bern, N.C.

New Bern Battlefield

The New Bern Battlefield Park includes over 30 acres of the original 1862 battlefield. Around the Visitors Center and along the walking trails are 36 interpretive panels that recount the battle, and several fighting positions are still visible. Guided tours of the battlefield are given by a trained guide and can be arranged in advance with the New Bern Historical Society.
