New Hope Church Battlefield

The New Hope Church battlefield has been largely overrun by modern development and much of the battlefield land is privately owned.  However, a small section of Confederate earthworks and a handful of signs and monuments at New Hope Church Battlefield Park can be found adjacent to a recreated version of the wartime church.  Nearby, visitors can see the 5-acre ravine that the Federal troops called the "Hell Hole."
