Ninety Six Cannon & Star Fort
Mark Thornberry

Ninety Six Battlefield

The Ninety Six National Historic Site commemorates the Battle of Ninety Six, one of the first battles fought outside of New England in the South Carolina backcountry during the Revolutionary War. The site has preserved the Star Fort, an 18th-century earthen fortification besieged by Nathanael Greene and his Patriot troops near the small town of Ninety Six.
