Peebles' Farm Battlefield

The Peebles’ Farm Battlefield is located within the Pamplin Historical Park.  Although the battle site is not accessible, the Park has restored the nearby Hart House to its Civil War appearance. Exhibits at the house describe the fighting that occurred at Peebles’ Farm during the battle on October 2, 1864. The Park’s Hart Farm Loop Trail on the Breakthrough Trail leads to the farm. The interior of the Hart House is not open to the public. Pamplin Historical Park is also the home of Civil War Adventure Camp, where citizens of the 21st century can experience life as a Civil War soldier.
