Rappahannock Station Battlefield

Nestled along the Rappahannock River at the town of Remington, the two battlefields here from 1862 and 1863 offer visitors a chance to experience the natural beauty of the river and the historic town. Both Union and Confederate earthworks guarding the river crossings are still clearly visible in many areas, as are the ruins of bridges, mills, and other structures which suffered the ravages of war. An interpretive wayside is on Madison Street at the south end of town.
