The museum is located in the passenger station of the Central Georgia Railroad. There are many exhibits pertaining to a wide variety of Savannah's history, including the Civil War. Exhibits include uniforms, weaponry, and the battle flag of the Savannah Volunteer Guard, which fought at Saylor's Creek, Virginia. Other artifacts include weaponry from the CSS Georgia and one of the rarest keg torpedoes in the world.
